About the Role
The Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the construction site, ensuring adherence to deadlines, safety standards, and effective coordination of on-site teams.
Responsibilities
Site Supervision
Lead and coordinate construction activities to ensure timely project execution.
Monitor work progress in collaboration with engineering and construction teams.
Ensure compliance with design specifications, technical requirements, and quality standards.
Team & Safety Management
Supervise on-site teams, including technicians, laborers, and subcontractors, to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and regulatory guidelines on site.
Conduct daily briefings with team leaders to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
Logistics & Resource Management
Ensure the availability and proper use of equipment, materials, and site resources.
Coordinate deliveries and manage on-site storage efficiently.
Anticipate resource needs to prevent delays in project execution.
Cost Control & Reporting
Monitor construction costs and optimize site expenditures.
Provide regular reports on site progress to project managers and stakeholders.
Identify and resolve operational challenges that could impact the schedule or budget.
QualificationsÂ
Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in site management for large-scale construction projects, preferably in the maritime or port sector.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of construction techniques, safety regulations, and local compliance standards.
Excellent leadership skills and ability to manage large on-site teams.
Ability to work under pressure and quickly solve operational issues.
Proficiency in construction site management tools and software (MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel).
