Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Shortlet Manager to oversee the operations of our short-let properties. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of the shortlet market, clients sourcing skills, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple properties efficiently. He or she will be responsible for ensuring guests have a seamless, comfortable experience while maximizing occupancy and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Property Management: Oversee and manage a portfolio of short-let properties, ensuring they are well-maintained, fully stocked, and prepared for guest arrivals.
Guest Relations: Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction throughout their stay.
Booking and Reservation Management: Handle reservations, including managing online platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, and other shortlet booking sites. Optimize listings for maximum visibility and profitability.
Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate check-ins/check-outs, cleaning schedules, and maintenance to ensure properties are ready for guests.
Marketing and Promotions: Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase booking rates, including promotions, price adjustments, and partnerships with travel influencers or companies.
Inventory Management : Develop and implement strategic oversight and optimization of inventory to meet customer demand, minimize costs, and avoid overstocking or stock outs, encompassing processes like ordering and storing.
Financial Management: Manage financial aspects of the properties, including invoicing, payment tracking, and ensuring profitability by reviewing and adjusting rates.
Compliance and Legal: Ensure all properties comply with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Team Coordination: Lead and collaborate with a team of housekeepers, maintenance staff, and contractors to ensure efficient property management.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in shortlet and property management, hospitality, or a related field.
BSc, HND, or ND in any field.
Strong understanding of short-term rental platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented approach.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Knowledge of property maintenance and cleaning standards.
Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details.
