Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Valve Technician to join our offshore production operations team.
This role is ideal for professionals with extensive expertise in valve maintenance and repair within the oil and gas industry, especially in offshore environments like FPSOs or rigs.

Position Overview

The Senior Valve Technician will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and calibration of critical valve systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of offshore production facilities.
This role requires hands-on experience, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform advanced maintenance on various valve systems, including isolation, control, and safety relief valves.
Calibrate and test valves to ensure they meet operational and safety standards.
Lead and oversee the execution of valve repair and replacement tasks on offshore facilities.
Ensure compliance with safety and operational regulations during valve maintenance activities.
Prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities, findings, and recommendations for improvements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of valve systems within the production process.
Train and mentor junior technicians to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in valve maintenance and repair, including 5+ years in offshore oil and gas operations.
Certification: Relevant certifications in valve maintenance, such as API 598 (Valve Inspection and Testing) or equivalent.
Technical Skills:

Advanced knowledge of valve types, including gate, globe, check, ball, and control valves.
Expertise in diagnostic tools for valve performance analysis.

Safety Training: Offshore safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) are required.
Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Willingness to work in remote offshore locations with diverse teams.
