The purpose of the role is to drive the company’s long and medium term business development, sales delivery and execution as well as active and effective sales closure essential.
The person will build enduring relationships with stakeholders, including customers, re-sellers and partners.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties Sales:

Generate industry sales prospects and pipeline and timely convert to revenue
Ensure timely and daily sales activity reporting, providing pipeline analytics and market insight
Develop Industry Sales Play and Sales Plans
Develop high quality sales proposals ensuring high success rates of sales closure and conversion
Develop networks across all industry verticals
Develop and ensure conclusion of Master Services Agreements and Sales Orders in conjunction with the Commercial and Legal teams
Maintain sales funnel and pipeline tracking
Manage sales reporting and management portal to ensure all customer visitation reports are up to date and tracked

Marketing:

Develop and implement effective go to market strategies, and implement marketing plans to promote the company’s capabilities to all sectors
Keep abreast of future developments and technologies related to the International Data Centre, Colocation and Storage markets and identify Opportunities and Threats for the company’s business
Ensure that the company’s website, Social Media and Product Literature are up to date and promote the World Class capabilities of the company
Work with Channel Partners on joint marketing initiatives to drive pipeline

Channel Partner Engagement:

Work in partnership with the company’s Channel Partners to ensure the best chances of securing new contracts with their existing and target customers
Promote the company’s services to Major Corporate organisations and develop a pipeline of opportunities for services
Implement effective qualification and filtering systems for opportunities to enable decisions regarding the introduction of Channel Partners to identified end user prospects
Effectively manage enquiries for the company’s services and implement effective lead generation and lead distribution methodologies to Channel Partners
Work with Channel Partners on their bids and proposals to ensure best win chance

Expectations

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering or related field
8 years or more experience
The desired candidate would need to demonstrate thorough knowledge of sales/pre sales in ICT, Telecommunications and data networking technologies
Strong client focus – ability to operate at prime customer contact level typically at senior manager level
Demonstrates a breadth and depth of operational service delivery management expertise
Knowledge of the Data Centre and telecommunications industry
Must be able to work independently and make sound technical decisions using the information at hand
Ability to provide excellent customer service whether internally or externally
Strong commercial and financial awareness
Strong communicator at all levels
Strong Infrastructure and IT Management knowledge
