Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales and Business Development Executive with a strong background in selling technical solutions, ideally within the cold chain, logistics, or related industries.
The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of proven sales experience, with a track record of exceeding targets and driving business growth.
You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and driving the sales of our temperature monitoring devices and associated services.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted sectors, including health and pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, logistics, and other relevant industries.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with industry influencers, existing and potential partners, and clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue and sales targets, including market analysis, customer segmentation, and competitive positioning.
Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments while maintaining an indepth understanding of our cold chain monitoring solutions, including their technical specifications and benefits. Effectively communicate value propositions to clients as well as, conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions.
Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations with key stakeholders, including pricing discussions, contract terms, and closing deals.
Collaboration: Work closely and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful product implementation.
Reporting & Analysis: Monitor and report on sales performance, sales forecasting, and analysis providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement to senior management.
Insurance Partnerships: Educate clients on the benefits of our insurance partnerships, assisting them in accessing the right coverage for their needs.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of post NYSC sales experience, preferably in cold chain monitoring, logistics, or related industries.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets, driving revenue growth and with a strong understanding of the sales process.
Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of industry knowledge, including cold chain logistics, temperature monitoring, IoT technology, supply chain management and related software solutions.
Client-Focused: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and compellingly.
Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate and close high-value deals.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
Team Player: Collaborative approach with the strong ability to work independently and crossfunctionally as part of a team.
Knowledge of data analysis and sales reporting, relevant experience with CRM software and sales automation tools.
Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
