Your role.
As Senior Regional Convener, you are responsible for convening activities to achieve the specific target on policy advocacy and stakeholders’ engagement to ensure the successful development and implementation of the west African regional food system transformation alliance in Nigeria and Ghana.
This role involves building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to support program deliverables and other objectives aligned with organisational and program goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Spearhead the convening activities on Nigeria food system transformation alliance working with multinational, SMEs, service providers and government actors
Lead policy advocacy and engagement with government actors for land access on Y-CAP program and other policy requirement for program activities
Support the design, development, and execution of program strategies and activities
Develop guidelines for regional stakeholders’ engagement and convening activities
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, private sector partners, and NGOs internally and externally
Convene multi-stakeholder platforms to foster collaboration and synergies to drive program objectives.
Engage with policymakers and industry associations to advocate for supportive policies and regulatory frameworks.
Supporting data gathering and reporting for the purposes of monitoring and evaluation.

What you bring:
Master’s degree in sustainable development, agriculture, business administration, environmental science, economics, or a related field.
10 years of relevant experience working in multi-stakeholder environments, bringing together diverse actors such as governments, private sector companies, NGOs, and communities to drive shared sustainability goals.
Experience in building coalitions and leading cross-sectoral collaborations, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, forestry, or commodities trading and demonstrated ability to facilitate high-level dialogue between global and local stakeholders to influence sustainable trade and development practices.
Strong team leadership skills.
Strong understanding of value chain development, market systems, and sustainability issues
Proven track record in convening, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
