Senior Programmes Associate

Job Purpose

The Senior Programmes Associate will play a key role in designing, managing, and scaling impactful education programmes at re:learn. This individual will work at a more strategic level, leading programme implementation, managing stakeholder relationships, and securing funding opportunities. They will oversee partnerships, ensuring alignment with re:learn’s mission to improve education through EdTech innovations across Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Manangement

Lead the design and execution of educational programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Oversee programme implementation, ensuring high-quality delivery and measurable impact.
Develop and manage programme budgets, ensuring financial efficiency.
Maintain proper documentation of program expenses, activities, and milestones.
Identify opportunities to scale programmes and optimize resource allocation.
Provide guidance and mentorship to Programme Associates and other team members.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

Coordinate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, schools, funding partners, and community leaders.
Represent re:learn in external meetings, policy discussions, and sector events.
Lead partnership negotiations, ensuring mutual value for re:learn and collaborators.
Support the development of strategic alliances to drive programme growth and sustainability.

Fundraising & Grant Management

Identify, apply for and manage grants and funding opportunities that align with re:learn’s initiatives.
Lead the development of funding proposals and pitch presentations to donors and partners.
Manage grant reporting and compliance, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Build relationships with potential donors and funding agencies to secure long-term partnerships.

Monitoring and Evaluation

Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure programme success.
Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform decision-making.
Prepare reports on progress, challenges, and impact for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure that programmes are continuously improved based on feedback and impact assessments.

Community Management

Implement monthly engagement activities to animate the Edtech Community and create thought leadership pieces that highlight and amplify our work.
Contribute to the Practices’ Edtech Community Blog and Newsletters.
Create organizational dashboards and reports to support effective decision-making and cross-company communications of business performance status

Qualifications

3 – 5 years of experience in programme management, ideally within education, EdTech, or development sectors.
Strong track record in stakeholder engagement and partnership management.
Experience in grant writing, and grant management.
Knowledge of education and EdTech trends in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Excellent project management, budgeting, and strategic planning skills.
Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
