Senior Procurement Officer

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement process for all construction and facility management projects, ensuring materials, supplies, and services are purchased on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
Supplier and Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts, and manage supplier performance.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions for procurement contracts, ensuring favorable terms for the company while minimizing risks.
Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain optimal levels of materials and supplies to avoid stockouts or excess inventory, coordinating with warehouse and project teams as necessary.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Ensure all procurement activities stay within budget by tracking expenses and looking for cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier agreements.
Reporting: Prepare regular procurement reports detailing purchasing activities, cost savings, and any issues encountered, providing insight to management for strategic decision-making.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the construction, facilities management, and finance teams to understand project needs, timelines, and budgets, ensuring smooth procurement processes.
Market Research: Continuously monitor market trends, sourcing strategies, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement and maintain competitive advantage.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role, preferably in construction and facility management.
Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to analyze market trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Knowledge of construction and facility management materials and services.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a solution-focused approach.
