Senior Planning Engineer

I am currently seeking for a Senior Planning Engineer for a Maintenance project, the Senior Planning Engineer would be responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing project schedules to ensure timely and efficient execution. The role involves coordinating with project teams, analyzing risks, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities 

Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software such as Primavera P6. CMMS
Define project scope, milestones, deliverables, and critical paths to ensure timely completion.
Establish baseline schedules and monitor progress against planned timelines.
Track project progress and prepare periodic reports for management and stakeholders.
Identify potential delays and recommend mitigation strategies.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs), such as Earned Value Management (EVM)
Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and construction teams to align resources with project demands.
Optimize manpower, equipment, and materials to improve efficiency.
Work closely with cost control teams to ensure alignment between schedule and budget forecasts.
Conduct risk assessments to identify scheduling risks and develop contingency plans.
Analyze project deviations and provide solutions to minimize schedule impacts.
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and industry best practices.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on project timelines.
Participate in project review meetings and provide updates on progress and forecasts.
Ensure effective communication between teams to resolve scheduling conflicts

Experience

Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
Strong experience in large-scale projects, preferably in construction, oil & gas, industries

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Primavera P6, CMMS 
Strong understanding of project control methodologies such as Earned Value Management (EVM).
Expertise in risk management, resource allocation, and critical path analysis.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills
