Job Summary:
We are in search of a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to strengthen our operations team. Oversee and execute critical responsibilities encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and industry standards while maintaining high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and accountability. Facilitate team leadership, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives to optimize workforce productivity and engagement. Manage budgetary allocations, resource distribution, and financial reporting to support sustainable growth and fiscal responsibility. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement data-driven solutions to enhance operational effectiveness and achieve measurable outcomes.
Perform routine preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance tasks on production equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Investigate mechanical malfunctions and oversee repair activities to reduce operational interruptions.
Perform regular inspections and evaluate the functionality of plant machinery to ensure optimal operating conditions.
Create and execute structured maintenance plans aimed at enhancing the dependability and performance of equipment.
Assist in the deployment, activation, and performance enhancement of mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment.
Monitor equipment functionality and evaluate performance metrics to identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency. Recommend and implement process improvements based on data-driven insights to optimize productivity and reduce inefficiencies.
Accurately document maintenance activities, track equipment history, and manage spare parts inventory with precision.
Maintain adherence to all safety, environmental, and operational regulations and protocols to uphold organizational standards and mitigate risks.
Partner with production teams to meet operational objectives and drive ongoing improvement efforts.
Conduct thorough root cause analyses to identify underlying issues and develop and execute corrective measures aimed at eliminating repeated equipment failures.
Job qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as business administration, economics, or finance. Candidates must possess at least three years of experience in a comparable role, demonstrating strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in data analysis tools, project management software, and advanced Excel is essential. Experience with ERP systems and a background in financial modeling are preferred. The ideal candidate will exhibit leadership qualities, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
Proven expertise in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, and rotating equipment is essential.
Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing issues and resolving technical challenges effectively.
Proficient in implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to mitigate equipment failures and optimize operational efficiency.
Possesses a solid grasp of HSE standards alongside manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal communication, collaborative teamwork, and precise reporting capabilities.
A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems would be considered beneficial.
