HEAD OF FINANCE:
We are in search of a Head of Finance with the capacity, expertise and competence to coordinate the supervision of all the financial task of the organization by ensuring that we use capital and resources optimally.
The responsibilities of the ideal candidate would include creating forecasting models, assessing risk and investments as well as ensuring that all accounting activities comply with regulations. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have experience crafting financial strategies and managing accounting teams.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Lead the finance department, overseeing financial operations, accounting processes, and the finance team.
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
Manage the preparation of all financial reporting, including monthly financial statements, budget variance analysis, and year-end financial reports.
Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
Work closely with senior management to develop and control the company’s annual budget.
Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team.
Manage cash flow and forecasting, develop a reliable cash flow projection process, and reporting mechanism.
Establish and develop relations with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders.
Analyze and manage risk, including credit, market, liquidity, and operational risks.
Lead financial planning and analysis efforts, offering insights and financial advice that will allow the company to make informed business decisions.
Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
Other related task as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; a Master’s degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., ICAN, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of financial management experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
Proven experience in financial planning and analysis with previous experience overseeing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
A solid understanding of financial software and systems.
Ability to strategize and solve problems.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
