Purpose: Principal responsibility for the business development and marketing of the company’s interests in the oil and gas service sector Responsibilities and Duties: Relationship Building / Lead Generation Build and foster relationships with players and key decision-makers in the sector (i.e, all IOC, NOC’s, Governmental bodies) Clear demonstration of understanding of organizational protocol for all Private Sector Companies and Governmental and Non-Governmental Bodies having direct and indirect influence on the implementation of the Group’s business development strategy Demonstrate full knowledge of all matters pertaining to NCD and its execution Generation of leads for potential new business Introduction of new players and business opportunities in the sector Demonstrate and build on business strategy and needs Develop formal business proposals and business model designs to pitch to the market Develop materials to define for relevant business opportunities to support Business Plans Drafting feasibility on key projects, conducting company, market and competitor analysis and provide well-researched forecasts to support business planning Tender Processing Follow up on a daily basis required project or tendering information Attend project clarification meetings if need be Follow up regularly on pre-qualification adverts Understand prequalification requirements Liaise with Client in preparing prequalification/technical/commercial packages Develop a capture plan after a project is prequalified Competitor Intelligence Obtaining intelligence, analysing and reporting on all current and potential competitor market activity and trend Reporting Analyse, evaluate and compile all reports on project activities of the IOC’s/NOC’s and Industry as it pertains to the Group’s business and partner’s business Issue individual monthly Sales & Marketing reports on the industry/projects to the Partner clients Generate all internal monthly business development activity reports to JL Submission of all business development reports as requested by the business Marketing Activities Represent or assist during meetings with IOCs or Authorities as applicable Represent the Group as required at Industry exhibitions/conferences/seminars as requested Other Duties: Participate as a member of the BD Team Ability to show leadership and guidance to BDAs in the team In the absence of the BDM lead the Senior BDA will act as the single point in and out for information, instructions and briefings for the BD Team so there is one clear single point for co-ordination of Analysis activity Represent the Company at conferences and exhibitions Other duties as required Reports: Ad hoc reports and research Key Interfaces: P.A, GEDs, MD JL NC & BD MANAGER MARKETING OFFICER IOC Clients JV Partners, Oil Companies NNPC, NAPIMS, NCDMB, DPR, NIPEX Ministries
The Person: Marketing or Economic Studies, BA / Masters Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas sector Good skills with the computer, especially with Visio, power point, excel etc. Team Player Familiar with Nigeria business Essential characteristics; General Management or business development management Evidence of marketing orientation and acumen Important characteristics; Wide experience of the energy services industry, including more than one sector Communication and social skills across international cultures and different management levels
