Job Summary
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Agricultural Sales Engineer to lead her market entry into Nigeria. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of the Nigerian operations, the role holder will supervise a team made up of Agricultural Sales Engineers, drive field engagements, build a network of agro-dealers and farmers, and provide regular strategic feedback to the head office and distribution team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead client’s market penetration strategy in the country.
Supervise a team of agricultural sales engineers.
Visit farms, agro-dealers, and cooperatives to promote seed varieties.
Organize and monitor product trials across key regions.
Develop and maintain relationships with agro-dealers and key opinion leaders.
Submit weekly progress reports and monthly summaries
Analyze competitor’s activities, pricing, packaging, and product positioning.
Assist in planning marketing campaigns, demo events, and field days.
Provide input on product demand and support in forecasting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, Botany and Crop Husbandry.
Minimum 8 years experience in agro-input sales (preferably in hybrid seeds).
Strong network in the local agricultural community.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Fluent in English and local language(s).
Willingness to travel extensively within the country.
Familiarity with digital reporting tools (Excel, Google Drive, WhatsApp, etc.).
