Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive security plans and procedures for the farm.
Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities.
Establish and maintain security protocols for access control, perimeter security, and asset protection.
Supervise and manage security personnel, including guards and other security staff.
Schedule security personnel shifts and ensure adequate coverage of all areas.
Train security personnel on security procedures, emergency response, and conflict resolution.
Monitor security personnel performance and provide feedback and guidance.
Monitor security cameras, alarms, and other security systems.
Conduct regular patrols of the farm perimeter and facilities.
Respond to security incidents and emergencies promptly and effectively.
Maintain accurate records of security incidents and activities.
Implement measures to protect farm assets, including equipment, crops, and supplies.
Manage access control systems and ensure proper authorization for entry.
Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to prevent theft and loss.
Liaise with local law enforcement agencies and community leaders as needed.
Coordinate with farm management and other departments to address security concerns.
Communicate security information and updates to farm personnel.
Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and company policies.
Prepare and submit regular security reports to farm management.
Document and investigate security incidents and breaches.
Oversee and coordinate security efforts across the farm, including daily security operations, and identify potential security risks to suggest room for improvement.
Qualifications
Diploma or equivalent. A diploma or certification in security management or a related field is preferred.
3-5 years of experience in security management, preferably in an agricultural or rural setting. Prior experience in law enforcement or military is a plus.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of security procedures and best practices.
Ability to operate security equipment and systems.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
Current driving license.
