Job Summary
Ensure the safety and security of the hotel premises, guests, staff, and assets by maintaining a visible and vigilant security presence.
Prevent, detect, and respond to security threats or emergencies while upholding the highest safety standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Access Control:
Monitor and control entry and exit points for guests, staff, and visitors.
Verify identification, issue visitor passes, and maintain security logs.
Surveillance and Monitoring:
Conduct regular patrols of the property, including guest areas, back-of-house, and parking lots.
Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and respond to unusual activities.
Incident Response:
Respond promptly to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical situations, and security breaches.
Report incidents accurately and prepare detailed incident reports.
Loss Prevention:
Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access by maintaining a strong security presence.
Conduct bag checks and investigate suspicious behavior when necessary.
Conflict Resolution:
Handle disputes, altercations, or disturbances professionally and de-escalate situations.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Enforce health and safety regulations, including fire and emergency protocols.
Conduct regular safety checks and ensure firefighting equipment is in good condition.
Guest Assistance:
Assist guests with directions, inquiries, and safety-related concerns.
Provide a secure environment while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
Staff Support:
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Escort staff handling cash or valuable assets when needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of daily security operations, including patrol logs and incident reports.
Submit timely reports to management on security-related matters.
Other Duties:
Perform additional duties as assigned by management to enhance overall safety and security.
Requirements
Candidates should possess an OND qualification with 1 – 5 years experience.
