Savings Officer Social Media Officer

Description 

The Savings Officer is responsible for mobilizing savings deposits from individuals and small businesses within the assigned territory.
This includes promoting various savings products, educating customers on the benefits of saving, and ensuring efficient and accurate processing of savings transactions.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management:

Actively solicit new savings accounts from individuals and small businesses within the assigned territory.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to encourage increased savings deposits and product usage.
Conduct market research and identify potential customer segments within the target market.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.

Savings Product Promotion & Education:

Promote a wide range of savings products offered by the bank, including but not limited to:

Regular Savings Accounts
Fixed Deposit Accounts
Children’s Savings Accounts
Group Savings Accounts

Educate customers on the benefits of each savings product, including interest rates, terms, and conditions.
Organize and conduct savings awareness campaigns and financial literacy workshops for customers.

Savings Transactions Processing:

Accurately process customer savings transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and account inquiries.
Ensure adherence to all bank policies and procedures related to savings operations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
Prepare daily reports on savings transactions and customer activity.

Risk Management & Compliance:

Adhere to all KYC/AML regulations and ensure all customer transactions are properly documented and verified.
Identify and mitigate any potential risks associated with savings operations.
Maintain confidentiality of customer information at all times.

Administrative Support:

Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly savings reports.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Relevant years of experience in savings mobilization or customer service within the financial services industry, preferably in a microfinance setting.
Strong understanding of savings products and banking operations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong 1 sales and marketing skills.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of local language(s) is a plus.
