Sales Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate who is persuasive, energetic and results-driven Sales Officer with excellent communication and strategy development skills to help create new business opportunities and increase brand awareness for a Microfinance Institution.
The individual in this role would be responsible for calling prospective customers, explaining our product, and guiding them through their purchase process.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop strategies to improve sales, both individually and as part of a team
Facilitate cold and warm calls to prospective leads; schedule and follow through on calls with leads and current customers
Source and work customer referrals
Inform leads and customers of current promotions and discounts
Maintain positive business and customer relationships in the effort to extend customer lifetime value
Track all appointments, sales, complaints, status reports, etc. thoroughly for manager review
Develop and oversee marketing campaigns to promote products and services.
Work closely with other employees in areas such as advertising, market research, production, sales and distribution.
Conducting research and analyzing data to identify and define audiences
Implementing promotional activities, and building long-lasting relationships with customers.

Minimum Qualifications and Required Experience

National Diploma or fresh graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
0 – 2 years’ experience in marketing, preferably in the financial industry.
Aptitude for persuasion and negotiation
Sales-driven, results-driven, and target-driven attitude
Ability to meet and/or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas
Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify and develop new marketing opportunities
Understanding of marketing analytics tools and metrics for measuring the effectiveness of campaigns
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Ability to create and deliver client presentations, especially power points and/or white papers.
