In This Role You Will
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand Vertofx’s customer base in Nigeria.
Lead and manage a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship
Conduct market research and analyse competitor activity to stay ahead in the market
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including upselling and cross-selling
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and customer success, to deliver solutions to clients
Develop and managing sales budgets and forecasts, including pipeline management and performance tracking
Ensure sales performance is tracked and reported accurately, using data to inform sales strategies
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market developments to maintain Vertofx’s competitive edge
Develop and implementing sales processes and procedures, including sales enablement and training programs
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the sales team
Grow Revenue: Achieve an increase in sales revenue within the next 12 months.
Sales Cycle Length: Reduce the average sales cycle.
Conversion Rate: Increase the conversion rate of leads to opportunities by 25% within the next 9 months
Sales Team Productivity: Increase the average number of sales calls/meetings per week.
Sales Forecast Accuracy: Achieve an accurate sales forecast.
Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
Minimum 5 years of sales management/banking/payment experience in a B2B focused role
Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and building high-performing sales teams
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities
Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools, such as (Salesforce, HubSpot etc)
Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong knowledge of SMBs and as well contacts within key business sectors
Nice To Have
Experience in international trade, logistics, or payments/banking
Knowledge of African markets and trade regulations with premium on Nigeria
Fluency in additional local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo etc)
Experience with sales analytics and performance management tools
Certification in sales management or a related field
Experience with sales enablement and training programs
