Sales Manager – Flow Products

Job Summary:

This position is intended to drive traditional flow technology conversation and technology adoption/acceptance of the Clamp-on Ultrasonic Flow products/solutions in the region. The industries to be covered include Oil and Gas, Refineries, Terminals, Chemical / Petrochemicals, Mining, Power and Water and others.
Responsibilities include work with customers to understand the challenges and offer the best solution and strive for demand generation and sales support activities including side Demo’s/Trial installations to achieve the set orders targets and strategic growth objectives in alignment with Measurement Solutions Business unit and the Regional strategic growth programs!

Job Responsibilities:

Lead and support Sales engagements, Business development and project pursuit initiatives, to meet or exceed Emerson Flexim bookings and Sales objectives.
Own the Sales activities with customers and various partners to collaborate closely with customers to prioritize effort, understand technology conversion opportunities, white spaces, capture competitive intelligence and improve customer service. Interpret customer technical specifications and generate strategies for making offer/ implementation/ production in consultation with rest of regional Industrial Sales Team. Use the expertise of MEA Product and industry BDMs as needed.
Support other sales individuals as needed including provide vital training to sales team members and partners.
Work closely with proposal generation groups to ensure all offers reflect customer needs; products are selected and priced competitively.
Participate in developing and implementing sales strategies for projects with the regional project pursuit leader. Collaborate with regional project pursuit leader to identify the projects under various stages (Conceptual, FEED and Execution) and promote the Emerson Flexim capabilities to FEED / Engineering contractors and end users.
Maintain an accurate opportunity list and provide monthly reports and forecasts to Regional Sales Director.
Support approvals, testing, trials and other marketing initiatives of products at strategic accounts/in new applications in the region.
Be the first point of contact for any technical support for Customers and Sales Team.
Drive any DEMOs or Field Trials at their own in the region.
Identify new customers, applications, new product adoption and upgrade opportunities for Emerson Flexim products to drive business growth.
Keep up to date with developments and trends in products, industries, and market conditions in the region.
Prepare and present marketing forecasts, competitor intelligence and country marketing plans along with the Regional Sales Director and Product Management Director
Drive product and factory approval processes within identified Key Accounts demonstrating the old-BU account leaders.
Work closely with other Emerson Process Management BUs to improve pull-through content and identify white spaces.
Improve the product, application and industry knowledge of the customer facing salespersons by bringing to bear the support form MEA Product and Industry BDM’s.
Support strengthening existing and develop new relationships with customer or third-party personnel (i.e. regulatory, legal agencies, customer technical boards, consultants, etc.) who may influence and make buying decisions.
Fulfil any other reasonable duties as required.
Ensure adherence to local and international Emerson trade compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practices.
Work with Emerson ERP tools – CRM & Flexim quotation tools: CPQ-System

Who you are?

Multi Industrial Experience (O&G, Chem, Metal and Mining, Power and Water)
Proficient with key flowmeter products and applications
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills
An outgoing personality, high analytical skills, a self-starting demeanour and the strong desire to contribute to the organization.
Ability to prioritize and complete many tasks in parallel.
Business Travel encouraged approx. 50% of the time.

For this job you will need:

Proven experience in selling Flowmeters / Flow measurement Solutions.
Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Science

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience within an Instrument and Controls environment, preferably sales experience in selling flow measurement products or solutions.
Experience in selling sophisticated solutions
