Job Summary:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales management, particularly within the FMCG, Retail, or Banking sectors. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of sales processes. He/She will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets .
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
Motivate and inspire the sales team to achieve individual and team goals.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, investors, and stakeholders.
Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential clients and market opportunities.
Prepare and present regular sales reports, including sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to improve sales strategies.
Develop and implement efficient sales processes and procedures.
Utilize CRM systems to track sales activities and manage client data.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Attend industry events and networking functions to expand business connections.
Identify and cultivate relationships with potential referral partners.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Admin, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-8 years of proven sales management experience in FMCG, Retail, or Banking sectors.
Must reside within the Festac – Iyanaba axis, Lagos.
Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong professional acumen and business intelligence.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Results-oriented with a strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
A valid driver’s license is a plus.
