Job Summary:
The Sales Finance Business Partner (SFBP) will act as a strategic link between the Sales and Finance teams, driving financial performance and business growth. This role involves financial planning, sales forecasting, pricing analysis, and profitability optimization, ensuring alignment between financial goals and commercial strategies. The ideal candidate should have experience in financial management within the automobile industry and a strong understanding of vehicle pricing, dealer financing, and market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Sales Analysis:
Partner with the sales team to develop financial forecasts, revenue targets, and sales budgets.
Monitor key financial metrics, including revenue, gross margins, incentives, and profitability.
Conduct variance analysis to compare actual sales performance with forecasts and identify improvement opportunities.
Provide data-driven insights to optimize sales strategies and pricing decisions.
Pricing & Commercial Strategy:
Analyze vehicle pricing, discounts, dealer incentives, and promotional offers to ensure profitability.
Work closely with sales and marketing teams to structure competitive pricing models.
Assess the financial impact of new product launches, market expansions, and sales campaigns.
Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
Dealer & Customer Financing:
Evaluate and structure financing programs for dealerships and end customers.
Work with banks, and financial institutions to optimize auto loan offerings.
Ensure compliance with financing agreements and assess credit risks associated with dealer networks.
Assist in negotiating financial terms for bulk fleet sales and corporate partnerships.
Business Performance & Process Improvement:
Develop financial models and dashboards to track sales performance and profitability.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements in sales operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, supply chain, and marketing) to align financial strategies with business objectives.
Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives in sales finance processes.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Ensure financial transactions and sales contracts comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Assess credit risks, bad debt exposure, and receivables management for the sales function.
Implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks in sales transactions.
Requirements
Education: MBA (Finance) / CFA or equivalent qualification.
Experience: Minimum 8 years in sales finance, commercial finance, or business partnering roles, preferably in the automobile industry.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle sales, dealership financing, and automotive market dynamics.
Technical Skills: Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analytics tools (SAP, Power BI, Excel).
Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.
Collaboration: Ability to work closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to drive business success.
