Main purpose of positionThe Sales executive is the key point of contact between our organisation and our clients: answering queries, offering advice, introducing new products and making repeat sales to existing customers.Job Description• Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale;• Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails;• Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries;• Acting as a contact between the company and its existing and potential markets;• Gathering market and customer information;• Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations;• Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers;• Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy;• Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions;• Liaising with suppliers to check the progress of existing orders;• Checking the quantities of goods on display and in stock;• Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales office, or entering figures into a computer system;• Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets;• Gaining a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements;• Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations;• Feeding future buying trends back to employers;• Attending team meeting and sharing best practice with colleagues.Personal Qualities• Welcoming, friendly, patient and helpful with a warm personality• Pro-active, creative and flexible• Tactful, adaptable and well presented• Self-motivated and able to motivate others• Able to multi-task• Able to work well and remain calm under pressure• Accurate, with an eye for detail• Able to relate well to people from a range of cultures and backgroundsQualification and Experiences• Ability to analyze, assess and address prospects needs, while clearly establishing the value of our products to customers• Demonstrated successful selling in a busy work environment• Dedicated, ethical and determined person that is willing to assist the customer to making buying decisions• Highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong written, verbal, presentational and interpersonal communication skills• Passion for selling and willing to build a career in sales• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint software programs• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required• 1-3 years in a sales or marketing role in a retail fashion company is an added advantage
