Role Overview
The Sales & Business Development Manager will lead our sales and marketing efforts, driving revenue growth through new client acquisition and relationship management.
This role will include developing and executing marketing strategies that strengthen our brand presence in the Nigerian market.
We’re seeking a motivated, strategic thinker with a passion for travel and proven sales experience to expand our client base and foster long-term business partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, partnerships, and direct clients.
Develop proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to refine our value proposition and uncover new growth opportunities.
Sales Management:
Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to conversion, ensuring excellent customer service at all stages.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Track and report on sales metrics, providing regular updates on sales performance and pipeline status to management.
Marketing & Brand Development:
Create and implement marketing strategies that drive brand awareness and promote our travel packages and services.
Manage social media channels, ensuring consistent brand messaging and engaging with online followers.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content for digital campaigns, email newsletters, and other promotional activities.
Client Relationship Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing timely responses to inquiries and delivering tailored travel solutions.
Ensure clients receive outstanding service throughout their travel experience, addressing issues swiftly and maintaining loyalty.
Team Collaboration & Training:
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align goals, share best practices, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Provide training and mentorship to junior staff, enhancing their sales and customer service capabilities.
Reporting and Strategy:
Prepare and present reports on business development activities, sales, and customer feedback to senior management.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve company revenue targets and objectives.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for optimizing business growth and marketing efforts.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, experience within the travel or hospitality industry is an added advantage.
Strong understanding of the travel industry and customer needs in Nigeria.
Proven experience in managing business development processes from lead generation to closing deals.
Knowledge of digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong results-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
