Sales and Marketing Manager

Responsibilities

The SMM is expected to have a broad and comprehensive knowledge of all matters related to the business of the organization with an eye towards identifying new sales perspectives and driving business growth and requirements for product development, as needed by customers, which will be coordinated by Product Design & Development Unit of the organization.
Elaborate business development plans, design and implement processes to support business growth, through market definition and customer acquisition.
Coordinate, Manage and Sell training services to NYSC members
Facilitate business growth by working together with clients as well as business partners (suppliers, subcontractors, JV partners, technology providers, etc.).
Build and maintain high-level contacts with current and prospective customer and other business and project partners.
Daily drive of prospects through to contract award (including identifying new customers and markets, developing new approaches, identifying prospects, proposal preparation, etc.)
Develop marketing strategy; manage engaged marketing agents with an overall objectives of driving growth of the business.
Develop business documents including but not limited to proposal for contract/grant award, product documentation/illustration, i.e. must be a very competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals.
Internal and external management of sales executives, social media handlers and recruiting sales staff.

Job Requirements Personality:

Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance and progress. It is expected that he or she must be a reliable, tolerant and determined individual to achieve results, well dressed and business-like. Driving skill will be an added advantage.

Computer Skills:

Must be adept user of MS Office 2003 or later, particularly MS Excel, Word, Power Point and any graphics software, Internet and email.

Literacy and Numeracy:

Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital, revenue, expenditure, cash-flow, overheads, etc.

Qualifications

2+ years in business development role
BSC/HND degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Social Sciences or any business management related course
Strong verbal, written, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
