Location: Maiduguri Job Summary

The Routine Immunization (RI) Coordinator is responsible for the overall planning and implementation of monitoring all activities and outputs of the Routine Immunization activities.
S/He will undertake training responsibilities to equip the local government, partner organization and community level staff/volunteers to undertake Routine Immunization tasks.
The RI Coordinator will contribute to CGPP’s efforts in outcome Routine Immunization and will draft and submit RI reports to the PO.

Main Responsibilities The main responsibility of the RI Coordinator is to strengthen immunization along international (Cameroon/Chad/Niger), state and local government area borders through the following:

Apply the output indicators of the Routine Immunization project to measure the achievement of each task and objective.
Support the conduct of border synchronization meetings
Ensure that RI social mobilization/BCC sessions in border communities are conducted
Ensure that RI outreach sessions in border communities are conducted
Ensure that RI fixed post sessions in border health facilities are conducted
Conduct supportive supervision of RI fixed post sessions in border communities
Conduct supportive supervision of RI outreach sessions in border communities
Plan and conduct regular site visits to objectively observe the status of RI implementation using the developed program supervisory & monitoring checklist as per CGPP/SMoH guidance
Provide training along to partner organization staff and community volunteers on RI social mobilization, behavior change communications.
Monitor partner organization’s performance on all project activities related to routine immunization.
Attend Working Group meetings on routine immunizations and other discussion forums; participate in State, LGA and Ward level RI meetings and activities.
Write success stories on RI intervention, to submit to the PO.
Maintain frequent communication with Project Officer to ensure program activities and objectives related to RI are communicated.

Qualification and Experience

Master degree in public health (or its equivalent) from a recognized university.
At least three years of Routine immunization experience, preferably with interventions such as immunization and maternal and child health.
Demonstrated  experience in training government and NGO staff in technical areas such as immunization.
Must have experience in implementing and monitoring behavior change interventions; and the use of information, education and communication materials.
Must have problem solving and technical presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills, and attention to details.
Must be competent in operating Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially MS word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Must be fluent in English and Hausa, and have excellent technical writing and verbal skills.
Must be a Nigerian citizen.
Candidates with working experience in Borno State will be preferred.
