Reservoir management and performance evaluation are essential responsibilities for optimizing hydrocarbon recovery and ensuring efficient field operations. This role involves continuous surveillance of reservoir behavior, analysis of production data, and implementation of strategies to enhance recovery factors while minimizing operational costs. Proficiency in reservoir simulation software, decline curve analysis, and pressure-transient testing is required, along with a strong foundation in petroleum engineering principles. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in integrating geological, geophysical, and production data to make informed development decisions. Additionally, the position demands effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to align reservoir strategies with overall asset objectives.

Evaluate reservoir behavior by leveraging geological, astrophysical, and production data to enhance hydrocarbon extraction efficiency.

To track reservoir pressure, fluid behavior, and production trends, your role involves detecting anomalies or performance issues for timely evaluation.

Recommend reservoir management strategies, such as well interventions and production modifications, to optimize hydrocarbon recovery and extend field life.

Field Development Planning (FDP) and Well Engineering Support specialists provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to optimize hydrocarbon recovery and ensure efficient well execution. These professionals collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive field development strategies, evaluate reservoir performance, and design well trajectories that maximize production while adhering to safety, regulatory, and economic constraints. Their responsibilities include conducting feasibility studies, performing risk assessments, and integrating subsurface data with surface facility planning to deliver robust, data-driven solutions. Additionally, they oversee well construction activities, monitor drilling operations, and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate potential hazards. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in industry software, and a deep understanding of petroleum engineering principles are essential for success in this role.

Deliver expert technical guidance to field development planning efforts, encompassing strategic decisions for well positioned to, drilling methodologies, and completion approaches.

Engage in cross-functional coordination with geological sciences, drilling, and production teams to ensure seamless alignment between subsurface and surface development strategies.

Facilitate well testing, simulation, and enhanced oil recovery (FOR) projects to optimize field productivity and economic returns.

Reservoir modeling and simulation involve the development and analysis of computational representations to evaluate subsurface hydrocarbon reservoirs, enabling accurate prediction of fluid behavior and reservoir performance under various production scenarios. This role requires proficiency in industry-standard software tools, such as Petrel, Eclipse, or CMG, along with a strong foundation in reservoir engineering principles, including fluid flow dynamics, material balance calculations, and decline curve analysis. Candidates should possess a degree in petroleum engineering, geoscience, or a related field, complemented by relevant experience in reservoir simulation studies. Responsibilities include constructing static and dynamic models, history matching production data, forecasting future reservoir performance, and generating input for economic evaluations to support field development planning and optimization strategies.

Construct and manage both static and dynamic reservoir models to predict production outcomes and enhance field development strategies.

Perform sensitivity and scenario analyses to facilitate informed decision-making and enhance risk management efforts.

Regularly refresh models using updated production, pressure, and geological data to ensure ongoing accuracy and reliability.

Conducts comprehensive evaluations of reserves and prepares accurate, detailed reports to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Analyzes geological, engineering, and financial data to assess reserve quantities and economic viability, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate findings. Responsible for maintaining up-to-date documentation and presenting insights to management to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.

Responsibilities include conducting reserves estimation, classification, and regular updates in accordance with established industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Deliver specialized technical insights to support production forecasting initiatives, annual budget formulation, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning activities.

Prepare management reports, technical papers, and presentations that analyze and summarize reservoir performance, reserves status, and optimization prospects for review by key stakeholders.

Technical Risk Management and Compliance professionals identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical systems, processes, and operations. They ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement robust risk controls and compliance frameworks. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies, monitoring compliance metrics, and reporting on findings to stakeholders. Requirements typically include proficiency in risk management methodologies, familiarity with relevant regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR), and strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proactively evaluate, analyze, and address potential subsurface, reservoir, and production hazards linked to marginal field operations to minimize associated risks.

Maintain adherence to internal HSE policies, regulatory mandates, and established industry best practices across all reservoir engineering operations.

Facilitate internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions associated with subsurface and reservoir operations.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, geology, or geophysics is required.

A master’s degree in a subsurface-related field, such as Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience, or Energy Studies, is strongly preferred.

Professional membership or affiliation with recognized industry organizations such as SPE, NAPE, APG, or NIG would be highly beneficial.
