Description For the post, the University seeks candidates with vision, proven academic distinction, managerial ability, integrity and transparency in private and public life. The right candidates should also have ability to develop linkages with the external communities to support the emerging needs of the University, command respect and engender cooperation and loyalty of staff and students of the University. The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University responsible to the Vice- Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University.
The Registrar is the Secretary to Council, Senate, Convocation and Congregation and other statutory bodies as defined by the Enabling Law of the University, Candidate for the post must demonstrate evidence of strong administrative and managerial qualities.
The Person
Candidate must possess a good honours Degree from a recognized University.
He/She must have minimum of Fifteen (15) years post-qualification experience, at least Ten (10) of which must be in a University or comparable institution and must have attained the Deputy Registrar level.
Higher degrees in Administration or Management as well as Membership of relevant professional bodies will be an advantage.
Terms and Condition of Service
The Registrar shall hold office for a single tenure of five (5) years on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
The remuneration package is comparable to what obtains in Federal Universities and as approved from time to time by the Governing Council of the University.
