The Position
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day general administrative work of the University.
The Registrar shall also be the Secretary to Council, the Senate, Convocation and Congregation of the University and shall perform any other duties that may be assigned to him/her by Council and the Vice-Chancellor.
The successful candidate will be required, among other things, to train, give good professional leadership to administrative staff to ensure efficient and effective professional administrative performance.
Qualifications and Experience
The Candidate:
Must possess at least a Second Class Lower Degree in Social Sciences or Humanities from a recognized University
Must have at least, a minimum of 15 years cognate working experience in a University Administration.
Must be serving officer not below the rank of Deputy Registrar in a
recognized University
Must not be above the age of sixty (60) years on 12th May, 2025
Be a member of at least one relevant professional body e.g. ANUPA, IPMD, NIM, etc.
Be of good health, sound judgment, pleasant disposition, and unassailable integrity; and,
Possession of higher degree(s) in relevant programme and proficiency in ICT will be an added advantage.
Condition of Service
The appointment is for a single tenure of five (5) years only. Salary and other benefits shall be as approved by the Federal Government and the Governing Council of the University.
