The Position
The Registrar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer of the University.
He or she is directly responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University.
The Registrar is the Secretary to the Governing Council, Convocation, Congregation and the Senate.
Qualifications
Candidate for the post shall:
Possess a good honors Degree not below Second Class Lower Division in (Arts, Social and Management Science, Education) from recognized institutions of learning (Possession of relevant Postgraduate qualifications is an added advantage);
Be a registered member of any administrative professional body, such as Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), etc .;
Have a minimum of fifteen (15) years cognate experience, twelve (12) of which Must be in the University system;
Have attained the rank of Deputy Registrar;
Be computer-literate; and
Not be over fifty-nine (59) years of age by the date of this advert.
The Person:
The candidate for the post shall be visionary and have the ability to provide good leadership.
He or she should possess personal integrity and the ability to command respect of the University community.
Salary and Conditions of Service
The appointment is for a single term of five (5) years and not subject to renewal.
The salary and conditions of service shall be as obtainable in the Nigerian Federal University system as may be determined by the Governing Council and the Federal Government from time-to-time.
