Job Summary
The College is in its second year of existence, and is about to be due for Accreditation by the National Commission for Colleges of Education. It therefore, needs a qualified, experienced and capable Registrar to organise it’s affairs at this critical moment.
Functions of the Registrar
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College, and is the Secretary of Council and Academic Board.
He/She is appointed by Council for a period of five (5) years, renewable once, but must leave office whenever he/she becomes due for retirement from service in accordance with the provisions of the College Scheme of Service.
The Registrar is responsible to the Provost.
Qualifications To be qualified, a candidate must:
Possess a good Honours Degree in the Arts, or the Social Sciences or the Humanities
Have twenty one (21) years of cognate experience at least 10 of which must be in a tertiary institution
Show evidence of attendance of professional courses and /or training
Show evidence of Computer literacy
Have attained the rank of Deputy Registrar in a tertiary institution, or Grade Level 15 in the civil service
Be able to demonstrate knowled of College structure, procedures and processes
Be familiar with the NCCE Minimum Standards and Implementation Framework
Have received some approved training on NCCE Quality Assurance.
Remuneration The Registrar is on CONDTEDISS 15 (Consolidated) and has other entitlements as provided for in the NCCE Conditions of Service for Colleges of Education in Nigeria.
