Responsibilities:
Extensive knowledge and experience in the Nigeria and Ghana investment space
Provide expert support to investment teams, assist the local offices in managing challenging and complex transactions
Ensure compliance in the region with operations risk and rigour requirements
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance
Develop annual fund activity plans and fund models that meet fund/program mandate criteria
Maintain relationships with fund/program investor representatives
Develop regional and country business plans and budgets that meet organization standards
Report financial and investment results on a monthly basis to the leadership team, including variance analysis and plans to address variances
Strategically support offices on investment and business support performance
Share knowledge, experience and best practice
Make quality product, process, procedure and tool suggestions to improve service delivery and performance
Required to oversee the region of Nigeria and Ghana, travel will be required as needed
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
An advanced degree is required with MBA, CFA or ACCA qualifications being preferred
No less than 15 years’ management experience preferably in an international organization managing cross country teams
15+ years’ experience demonstrating a good track record investing or financing SME’s
Relevant and existing network in-country – capitalists, private equity, investment and other SME stakeholders preferred
Excellent financial and analytical skills
Fluency in English and excellent communication and presentation skills
