Quantity Surveyor

Job Description:

Researching costing and knowledge of material in the database and other sources
Sources Prices for materials and equipments locally and abroad for tendering purposes
Monitor the quantity and usage of materials on project site
Undertaaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work assisting in establishing a client’s requirments and undertaking feasibility studies
Performing risk, value management and cost control
Advising on procurement strategy
Preparing and analysing costing for tenders
Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
Valuing completed work and arranging payments
Preparing plans, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
Performing risk analysis evaluations
Arranging payments to supplier and contractors
Providing advice and forecasts about costs
Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
Monitors the quantity and usage of materials on project site
Preparing detailed progress reports
Conducts market price survey
Liaises with specialist suppliers, contractors and manufacturers to ensure best prices of materials are obtained for competitive tendering
Prepares application for interim payments, fluctuation claims, variation and final accounts
Evaluates subcontractors submission/claims
Avoid materials glut at site
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the project manager and the Managing Director. 

Minimum Qualification:

Degree in Quantity Engineering
Professional certification and/or a post-graduate degree in Business Administraton or related engineering discipline will be and added advantage

Knowledge & Skills:
Experience in a Real Estate firm preferredJob Type: Full TimeExperience: 5 years
