Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis for projects.
Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency.
Prepare tender documents and contracts based on project requirements.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids and negotiate contracts.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and construction regulations.
Monitor and track project expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost analysis.
Conduct valuation of work done and prepare interim and final payments.
Identify and assess potential project risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Optimize costs without compromising on project quality and performance.
Conduct site visits to verify work progress and adherence to contractual terms.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers for effective cost planning.
Handle contract variations, claims, and dispute resolutions.
Negotiate and settle contractual disagreements with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts
