Role and Responsibilities:
Ensures the implementation & monitors the performance of the Integrated Management System (IMS)
Develops Environmental & Social Management Plan/System (ESMP/S) for IFC E&S category projects
Ensures implementation and reporting of E&S requirements of funding agency
Leads the continuous refinement and implementation of our funds’ Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS).
Oversee E&S data colleneboshction and analysis for performance reporting
Keeps track of upcoming regulatory requirements as well as the evolving approach of International Financial Institutions to E&S and assesses the implications for the company
Provides oversight and direction to the E&S team.
Generates and analyzes reports related to the performance of the IMS of the operation
Works closely with the Heads of Departments and makes sure all procedures are properly communicated and understood.
Determines training needs and makes sure related people (mainly QHSE Representatives) undergo necessary courses and provides inhouse customized trainings when needed
Follows up on the audit plans and analyze reports from his/her subordinate.
Ensures the continual improvement of quality of services, health & safety of the employees & the environment
Manages the program of suppliers & subcontractors’ audits and conducts pop up audits or whenever required by the Group/Direct Supervisor.
Builds effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and partners to support the Company’s core safety values
Coordinates continual improvements of the IMS with the departments, to ensure that evidence of corrective actions taken are recorded and reviewed
Follows up on the IMS Objectives set by Top Management for measuring the performance of the IMS
Acts as key contact with the clients’ auditors and be responsible for ensuring the execution of corrective actions and ongoing compliance with clients’ specifications.
Assists on the External Audit as requested by the Group QHSE Representative
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
8-10 years of relative work experience
Demonstrated experience in implementing Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA).
Experience in working with funding agencies or working in development fund projects.
Demonstrated experience in community and stakeholder engagement plan development and implementation
Demonstrated experience in Security Management Protocols and Plan development.
Ability and willingness to travel overseas when required
An aptitude for exercising independent thinking and reasoning
Ability to communicate in written and oral formats with diplomacy and tact
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Welldeveloped leadership skills
Ability to manage and follow up on multiple workstreams and work under time pressure
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor/Master’s degree in Business Administration, environmental studies, natural resource management or other relevant disciplines.
Lead Auditor in EMS or equivalent experience (at least 5 years of experience in auditing management systems)
