Job Summary

TRANSSIL is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Proposal Writer to develop high-quality proposals for grants, contracts, and consultancy bids. The ideal candidate must be proficient in research, writing, editing, and proofreading while ensuring proposals align with funder requirements and organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Research and identify grant and job opportunities aligned with the organization’s goals.
Develop structured, persuasive proposals for funding and consultancy bids.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather accurate information.
Edit and proofread proposals for grammar, clarity, and adherence to requirements.
Maintain a repository of proposal templates and submitted documents.
Manage proposal submission deadlines effectively.
Provide feedback to improve proposal development processes.

Requirements:

Proven experience in proposal writing (grant proposals, consultancy bids, etc.).
Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
Ability to analyze and synthesize complex information.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with donor regulations and grant application processes (USAID, CARE, PSI, etc.) is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and online research tools.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Communications, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
