Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, prepare estimates, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
The successful candidate will work on a range of projects, from concept to completion, ensuring accurate cost management and high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage project estimates, budgets, and cost reports
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and identify potential cost issues
Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Mentor junior quantity surveyors and technicians
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying
Professional certification (NIQS, RICS) preferred
Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, codes, and standards
Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., MS Excel, CostX)
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Desirable Qualities:
Experience with international construction contracts (FIDIC)
Familiarity with Nigerian construction industry regulations and standards
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
