Project Engineer (Mechanical / Piping)

Responsibilities

Assist the project manager in establishing project objectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policy.
Prepare scheduled and necessary updates of construction activities and analysis of manpower and equipment required.
Create and administer appropriate procedures to monitor projectperformance.
Inform all supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
Maintain budgetary, scheduling, and project database oversight and report regularly to the project manager to keep him/her constantly informed of job progress, plans and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules.
Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications.
Cooperating and communicating with the project manager and other project participants and collaborating with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project’s profitability.
Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
Developing specifications for the project’s needed equipment.
Creating frameworks to measure the project’s metrics and data collection.
Establishing field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests.
Ensuring the project’s compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
Responsible for preparing daily, weekly, and monthly site reports.
Perform any other legal assignment assigned to you by the management.

Requirement

B.SC / HND In Mechanical Engineering or any other related engineering discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in engineering design, piping/pipeline fabrication and construction, project supervision and construction services.
Proficient use of AutoCAD is compulsory; knowledge of any other relevant engineering software will be an added advantage.
HSE Procedures
Drawings Interpretation Data Analysis/Reporting with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Professional certification / Training:  HSE 1-3,  Project Management,
Registration with COREN is an added advantage

Benefit: Salary budget 200k – 300k gross, HMO,  Pension, Collaborative and supportive work environment
