Project Engineer Intern (NYSC)

Job Summary

The Project Engineer Intern supports the engineering team in planning, coordinating, and managing various engineering projects.
This hands-on role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in engineering principles, project management, and hands-on industrial construction.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, specifications and BOQs
Support the development and review of project documentation such as blueprints, CAD models, and technical reports.
Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure project timelines are met.
Monitor project progress, manage site workers and prepare updates for stakeholders.
Conduct inspections, tests, or evaluations on project deliverables to ensure compliance with standards.
Support the preparation of risk assessments and quality reports.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to project performance.
Prepare and present technical and project status reports.
Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
Attend team meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.

Requirements

Currently an NYSC candidate posted to Lagos
Can easily commute to and from Ikeja
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Prior experience in industrial procurement and construction is a plus
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, or equivalent) is a plus
Basic knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is a plus.
