Job Summary

S/he has responsibility for coordinating the planning, implementation and reporting of all APIN Global Fund supported HIV activities in Lagos State, ensuring that program targets are achieved within defined timelines, as outlined in the workplan and within donor and organizational policies and Procedures

Job Tasks

Work with other team members to develop program documents, including but not limited to proposals, work plans, and technical briefs for APIN management, LSMoH. The Global Fund, and other key stakeholders.
Coordinate the planning and implementation of all program activities by APIN GF technical teams according to approved work plans and within the stipulated timelines and budget limitations.
Manage disbursement requests to Global Fund/LSMoH, program budgets, tracking of financial and material resources at all levels, funds reallocation and reprogramming requests, according to the policies and guidelines of GF/LSMoH and APIN.
Serve as a Liaison Officer between APIN and LSMoH on the Global Fund grant.
Represent APIN in relevant meetings with LSMoH, development partners and other stakeholders on the Global Fund grant.
Provide technical support to LGATechnical Associates on the implementation of SF work plans and other activities in Lagos state.
Organize and participate actively in monitoring and hands on mentoring of facilities’ staff on key deliverables and monitor performance on allocated targets on the SF grant.
Ensure that all, required reports (Program, M&E, Finance, logistics, etc.) are prepared and submitted to various stakeholders within the expected time frame.
Collaborate with the Finance team to review actual financial performance against the budget, and explain variances on a monthly basis.
Coordinate and participate actively in the planning, organizing, conducting, facilitating and evaluation of capacity building activities for health care providers of Global Fund HIV grant implementing facilities, in collaboration with relevant APIN program directorates and LSMoH.
Perform any other role as assigned by the Head of APIN Lagos office, supervisor and management

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

A Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent), Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) and a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience in HIV prevention, treatment and care programs. Experience in TB, MNCH, RH and malaria programs would be an advantage.
