Program Coordinator – Sustainability

Your role as a Program Coordinator

Reporting to the Head of Cocoa Sustainability, you will manage an experienced agricultural extension team and build upon and expand operational delivery of a variety of projects and strategic priorities within their agreed timelines, budget, scope and impact.

You will also be involved in:

Developing, monitoring, and reviewing monthly / annual workplans in line with project log frames and any data / evidence collected that calls for adaptation.
You will focus on improving Nigerian bean productivity and quality profiles through capacity development of cocoa sustainability team, procurement teams and farmers
Working with financial information to manage budgets effectively and set realistic forecasts, approving budget requests from Operations Coordinators in line with Annual / Monthly Workplans and monthly / annual budget lines.

Responsible for setting up groups for external audits and making sure that we clear the audits as well
Improving Adoption rate of field trainings with farmers
Doing Assessment of Farmers and based on farmer’s/community needs, arrange trainings as and when required
Responsible for Data collection/ Data integrity and Data Analysis of the group and designed customized solution based on the outcomes of various surveys
Traceability on the farms – Making sure that Traceability data is provided from farm level to exporters
Impact assessment of various activities on the farms

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you need to have excellent problem solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as capacity building skills,

Other essentials include:

Knowledgeable in RA / UTZ certification standards (Organic certification is a plus)
Have solid field background and passionate about grassroots agricultural development
Fluent in English, knowledge of a local language a plus
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word /Excel /PowerPoint) – Good command of Microsoft Outlook
Possess a valid driver’s license
