Job Description The programme coordinator will manage programmes, projects, and events. The programme coordinator reports to the Head of Meadow Hall Foundation (MHF). The main responsibilities of this position are:
Assist the Head of Meadow Hall Foundation in program delivery including preparation of reports and correspondence, material for briefs and/or submissions, background material for communicative writing and provision of financial management requests and reports
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Define project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Communicate, regularly, with all relevant stakeholders
Work with other staff to plan and implement programs that would create opportunities for the populations (including underprivileged students and their teachers) served by MHF
Work with the Head, MHF and members of MHF’s Board to develop, implement and evaluate various programmes, projects and/or events
Develop in-depth knowledge of program areas, including current issues and key resource people and organizations, and a clear understanding of how they fit into MHF’s interests
Represent the Foundation professionally by making presentations, responding to inquiries and attending meetings and conferences
Support and contribute to the finalization of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks
Assist in the development of M&E tools and processes
Assist in the M&E of existing projects including the preparation and finalization of M and E reports in program areas
Update, as necessary, M&E plans
Qualifications & Skills Required
A university degree in an appropriate discipline, such as project management, development studies, business management.
A minimum of three years relevant work experience
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience in (a) project management (b) a development program;
