For one of our clients, an international oil & gas operating company, we are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to work offshore Nigeria on a rotational basis.Job objectives:
To organise, coordinate and supervise operations and maintenance activities offshore.
To manage and control the Production Department to ensure safe and efficient functioning of all process facilities and operations.
To complete all other assignments as may be assigned by the OIM
Key responsibilities:1. Manage and control the operations department to ensure safe and efficient functioning of all process facilities and operations2. Responsible for operation, condition monitoring and troubleshooting of process plant, CCR, relevant utility systems and equipment. Knowledge of ICSS / SCADA / DCS is an advantage3. Responsible for operation of safety control systems4. Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting of turret/ swivel equipment5. Responsible for process plant and equipment start-up and shut down operations6. Responsible for meeting of production objectives7. Responsible for optimization of chemicals consumption8. Responsible for planning of operations maintenance activities9. Responsible for first line and preventive maintenance of process and relevant utility systems as per Computerised Maintenance Management System10. Administer process plant and relevant utility systems modifications requests under management of change (MOC) procedure11. Responsible for maintaining process plant discharges and emissions within the limits12. Develop and revise procedures and standing instructions for the production department13. Ensure regulatory and class requirements are adhered to14. Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning15. Prepare budget and control expenditure16. Responsible for sufficient stock of relevant consumables17. Responsible for control of hazardous substances that are used/ stored within production department18. Liaise with OIM and other department heads for planning of maintenance and operation activities19. Participate in the investigation of accidents and incidents. Administrate Company reporting system report20. Ensure the Permit To Work system is controlled and adhered to as per requirements of the system21. Responsible for the relevant risk assessments and job safety analyses22. Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Review information in database to ensure it is technically valid, accurate and up to date23. Maintain appropriate documentation;24. Ensure that vendors and contractors are managed safely and effectively25. Undertake training relevant to the position requirements26. Responsible for the training of subordinates and trainees27. Responsible for competency assessment and performance evaluation of subordinates
Requirements
HND or Degree in Engineering
A minimum of 15 years’ experience in oil and gas operations and maintenance, at least 8 years of offshore oil and gas experience on production platforms at supervisory level
Multi-skills and knowledge of ICSS / SCADA / DCS is a prerequisite
A good understanding of the relevant codes and standards for production operations is a prerequisite.
Fluent spoken and written English
Strong interpersonal skills are essential, for dealing with a broad spectrum of cultural and organisational styles, as well as being able to fit in as a team player
Fit and fully mobile, so as to maintain the supervision at the various locations where activities related to the work will be carried out
Proven experience of supervising and coordinating the activities of a multi-discipline operations team
Good computer and use of computerized maintenance management skills
