Production Pharmacist

Major Responsibilities:

Collaborate with production managers to develop and execute production plans
Support the professional development of team members
Provide training to production staff on new processes, equipment, and quality standards.
Ensure that all documentation meets regulatory standards and is readily available for audits.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of production activities.
Provide technical support to resolve production-related issues.
Work closely with quality control, research and development, and regulatory affairs teams to achieve production goals.
Ensure that production activities comply with regulatory requirements.
Stay updated on pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA NAFDAC).
Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
Investigate and address any deviations or discrepancies in the production process.
Review and approve batch records to ensure accuracy and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Collaborate with the production team to implement best practices and streamline manufacturing processes.
Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Oversee the compounding of ingredients to create pharmaceutical products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established formulas.
Develop and review pharmaceutical formulations.
Conduct regular checks to ensure that production processes meet quality requirements and regulatory standards.
Oversee the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other quality standards.
Ensure the efficient utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.

Educational Requirement:

Bachelor’s in Pharmacy

Other Requirements:

Previous experience in pharmaceutical production or manufacturing
Must be familiar with pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines, including GMP
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes techniques
Keen attention to detail in reviewing documentation and ensuring product quality
Ability to troubleshoot and address production-related challenges effectively
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical information
Flexibility to adapt to changing production priorities and requirements.
