Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for raw materials, components, and services.
Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers.
Conduct regular assessments of suppliers’ performance based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Complete procurement documentation in the shortest time frame authorized.
Ensure there is no backlogs of untreated documentation.
Collaborate with production, quality, and inventory teams to understand material requirements.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of materials.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure that the company obtains the best possible prices, quality, and delivery time frames.
Build quality vendor relationships to facilitate credit facilities when needed.
Deliver materials requested within 2 working days’ latest.
Continually build healthy vendor bases and research for new vendors with the right capacity and best practices.
Ensure contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.
Issue purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Resolve any issues related to delayed or incorrect deliveries.
Collaborate with the Store’s Team to receive the Materials Requests and Usage reports at the right time.
Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of materials.
Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including supplier information, contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
Give a daily report of procurement daily tracking schedules
Ensure the complete handover of all materials delivered to the store department with all the documents needed e.g. signed waybill, invoices, etc.
Liaise with other departments to ensure that procurement needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure all procured materials meet the company’s quality standards.
Work with quality control teams to address any quality issues with suppliers.
Requirements
Interested candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree with 3 years experience.
