The Procurement Officer serves as
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Sourcing and Relationship Management
Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Build and maintain longterm relationships with key suppliers.
Purchasing and Contract Management
Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts for goods or services.
Ensure all purchases align with the company’s budget and policies.
Monitor vendor compliance with contractual obligations.
Market Research
Analyze market trends to identify costsaving opportunities.
Research new products, services, and suppliers to enhance procurement efficiency.
Quality Assurance
Ensure that procured items meet the required quality standards.
Address and resolve issues with defective or noncompliant goods.
Risk Management
Mitigate risks in the supply chain by identifying alternative sourcing options.
Ensure timely delivery of goods to prevent operational disruptions.
Reporting and Analysis
Generate reports on procurement performance, savings achieved, and supplier reliability.
Provide insights to management on procurement strategies.

Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate favorable terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers.
Analytical Thinking: Capability to analyze market trends, supplier proposals, and costsaving opportunities.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address and resolve issues such as delivery delays, defective goods, or pricing discrepancies.
Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with procurement software and inventory management systems and Understanding of supply chain processes and logistics.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy in processing purchase orders, contracts, and supplier documentation.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
Decision-Making Ability: Confidence in making purchasing decisions that align with company goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
At least 3 years’ experience in this role or similar roles
Proven experience in a clientfacing role, ideally in sales, account management, or customer service.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Problemsolving abilities and a customerfocused mindset.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple client accounts.

Other Requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to travel as required to meet suppliers or attend site visits.
Familiarity with procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
Experience with ERP systems or procurement software.

Able to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
