Job Summary:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities at MSHEL Construction. This includes managing the sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of materials, equipment, and services required for the successful completion of construction projects. The Procurement Manager ensures that the procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with company policies and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s business goals and objectives.
Manage the procurement team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
Negotiate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
5. Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems to ensure the availability of necessary materials and minimize waste.
Collaborate with project managers, Quantity Surveyors, and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with project requirements and schedules.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to procurement and supply chain management.
Provide regular reports and updates to management on procurement activities, challenges, and recommendations for improvement
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, or a related field.
4-5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on the construction or real estate industry.
Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPSD, CPPO).
Familiarity with construction project management processes and workflows
Demonstrated understanding of construction materials, equipment, and services.
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to procurement and supply chain management.
