Procurement Engineer

Job Summary

The Procurement Engineer is a skilled Engineer with expertise in oil and gas procurement to support our projects by ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, strategic procurement planning, and a deep understanding of oil and gas supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

Identify and source materials, equipment, and services for oil and gas projects.
Ensure procurement processes align with project specifications, budgets, and schedules.

Vendor & Supplier Management

Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost savings and ensure quality standards.

Contract & Compliance Management

Review and manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.

Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination

Work with logistics teams to coordinate the timely delivery of procured items.
Monitor inventory levels and manage supply chain risks to avoid project delays.

Cost Control & Budgeting

Monitor procurement expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare procurement reports and provide insights on budget performance.

Risk Management & Problem-Solving

Assess procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Resolve supplier and delivery issues to maintain seamless project execution.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
Minimum of 3+ years of procurement experience, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
Strong knowledge of procurement standards, supplier networks, and industry regulations.
Proven negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis skills.
Experience with ERP procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple procurement tasks efficiently.
