Private Banking / Investment Officer

Job Summary

The Private Banking/Investment Officer is responsible for managing a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and providing personalized financial services, including investment management, wealth planning, and financial advice.
The role involves understanding clients’ financial goals, offering tailored investment solutions, and delivering exceptional customer service to ensure long-term relationships and growth of assets under management (AUM).

Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:

Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with high-net-worth clients, understanding their financial goals, preferences, and risk tolerance.
Provide ongoing financial advice and strategic investment recommendations tailored to individual client needs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Investment Management:

Analyze clients’ investment portfolios, making recommendations to enhance returns or reduce risk based on market conditions.
Design and propose customized investment strategies, focusing on equities, fixed income, alternative investments, and other asset classes.
Monitor portfolio performance and advise clients on adjustments to optimize their investments based on changing market dynamics.

New Business Development:

Identify and acquire new private banking clients by networking, referrals, and leveraging existing relationships.
Participate in marketing initiatives and events to promote the bank’s private banking services.
Meet sales targets for client acquisition and revenue generation.

Market and Product Knowledge:

Stay up to date with financial markets, economic trends, and new investment products.
Regularly update clients on market movements, potential investment opportunities, and financial strategies.
Work closely with the bank’s investment and research teams to provide clients with cutting-edge financial products and services.

Risk Management:

Ensure all transactions comply with the bank’s policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.
Assess and manage client portfolios, ensuring appropriate diversification and risk mitigation strategies are in place.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including investment profiles, risk assessments, and transaction histories.
Prepare regular reports on client portfolio performance and investment activity for clients and internal stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree / HND in a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in private banking, wealth management, or investment advisory.
Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and private banking products.
Proven track record of managing high-net-worth clients and meeting business development targets.

Soft Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with high-net-worth clients.
Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Client-focused with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
