Planner /Engineer Supply Chain Development Manager

Our ClientFor confidentiality reasons, information about our client is, for reference sources and non-shortlisted candidates, limited to the following:As part of water sector reform initiatives to guarantee sustainable access to basic sanitation and basic water supply in Port Harcourt city, our client are implementing the first phase of the Port-Harcourt Water Supply and Sanitation Project with support from the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the World Bank (WB). They have therefore identified the immediate need to recruit competent and suitably qualified professionals to fill various positions within the organization.”The company has decided to start the search for an experienced Planner Engineer and the position will be based in Port Harcourt.
Job Purpose:
To ensure effective management and utilization of the company’s resources to achieve set goals and objectives. Candidate will carry out project planning activities related to the water supply and sanitation system; contribute to project budget preparation and annual work plan. He/she will provide support and expert advice to the Project Coordinator,  particularly as it relates to presenting to stakeholders, technical aspects(planning, design, construction and maintenance) of the project, including source development, treatment, storage, and supply. Candidate will also create a data base with all technical information of existing systems and facilities including detailed description and current conditions.Core Qualifications/Experience:

Computer literacy with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet.
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related field in water and sanitation is required. Master of Science degree in Civil Engineer will be an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years of recent post-qualification experience in implementing engineering infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of and experience in procurement activities in general.
Experience with donor funded projects is a requirement and experience with ADB or WB an advantage.
