Maintaining records: Keep records such as patient profiles, inventories, and registries of controlled drugs
Ensuring quality: Check the quality of the production and the identity, strength, or purity of medications
Ensuring compliance: Ensure the medication supply chain is within the law and that the pharmacy premises and systems are fit for purpose
Providing other health advice: Provide advice on issues such as how to stop smoking or manage conditions such as diabetes and asthma
Consulting with other healthcare professionals: Consult with doctors, veterinarians, and other health care professionals about prescriptions
Teaching customers: Teach customers how to take their medicine safely and effectively
